Respite @ Cornerstone Cobb 2-Bed Union 5/5 to 5/8/2006 Concerns

Friday the 5th 3:30pm to 5 am I think Connie, My Aide, brought a 2-quart
container of milk which was about half full of milk. She was the only one
(I think) who read my book on how to take care of me. I had enough milk for
Friday night and Saturday morning for breakfast. There was no juice or milk
in the house after that . I do require a lot of liquids because I had
Wilkes surgery (which dried up the saliva in my mouth to prevent drooling).

Saturday the 6th Sue, my aide, 5am-7pm shift. About 1:30 PM or so, she
called Cobb a 4-bed house to ask if we could borrow some milk, and the
answer was no.
Sue didn’t understand how to give me a drink of water . She tried whenever I
asked for a drink, but, got very little down. Spilled most all of it. (I had
Sue as my aide once before, and didn’t have any problems.)

Saturday the 6th 7pm to 7am on the7th Teresa was my aide. There was no
juice or milk, but she remembered how to give me water to drink. And
everything went okay.

Sunday the 7th Sue worked the7am to 7pm shift. very little to drink and I
was dry as cotton balls.

Sunday evening Sandy, my aide. From 7pm the 7th to 7:30 am the 8th Monday
morning to the time Dan picked me up to go to Dayservice. Sandy gave me a
little to drink Sunday night before I went to bed at eight. For breakfast on
the 8th, I had pancakes and applesauce with nothing to drink. Oh, my I was
really thirsty! I didn’t have anything to drink at all on the 8th until I
got to Dayservice. Monday morning at 9 am for a Snack. I was so dry and
thirsty and my mouth felt like cotton.

I had some delicious meals, but, I didn’t have any liquids with any of my
meals- much to speak of- from Saturday to Monday noon.

My Mom sent Bran Flakes which Sue gave me on Saturday morning. Am I
supposed to take my own juice and milk whenever I go to Respite at
Cornerstone? There was also a paper also sent along that explained how to
take to care of me and that also explains how to give me a drink.
