kyle, i could only dream of something like that. that was the dream, here
was my reality:
dad purchased a 62 rambler for 60 dollars. we welded tim in the rusted
bottom where i could have fell thru. i could see the road thru the
floorboard. that was a real clasic, schupured in blue and bundo. only one
door would open from the inside. i had to be polite and open doors for my
passengers. the reclining seats did it in one move. all the way down or all
the way up.
i loved to get dates into that car. of course it was rare to find a girl
that wanted to ride in it.
actually it ran good. i rememberd times that new cars sitting next to it not
starting and it would start.
when i reach 40 it would begin to shake (rusted frame) and would smooth
out at about 55-60. i'd wait until i was going down hill to accelerate up
to speed limit.
i drove it 8 years and sold it for , yes, 60 dollars.
