My doctor, a gp, recomends meditation for dealing with pain too. So, it may
help  kill (or help) the both things with one stone. Ken, you sound like
one of these people who must learn to say no. Ben is a big boy, he is young
and agile, let him come get whatever he needs; same with your daughter.
Heck, as soon as I was in college my mom stopped schelping me around.
Simply explain to your family that you have serious medical conditions and
if they want you to live to be 67 or whatever, you have to take better care
of yourself.
