well, i am going by what the soon to be speaker talks
about her first 100 day agenda. "redeployment" i do
not think we can afford to get out of iraq without
winning, even if we accept as fact that we got in for
thw wrong reasons, that we have made terrible
mistakes, etc. just getting out is going to make us
much more unsafe. "repeal tax cuts" i read that as tax
increase. i think that will hurt the ecconomy.
"increase the minimum wage to "7 dollar plus in one
step." do you know that even those that do start at a
minimum wage are off it in about 4 months. who
benifits from the increase. take a look at most union
contracts and you'll see a clause somewhere "x.xx
amount an hour or x number of times the minimun wage
whichever is larger." this is not for the poor, it is
for the unions and buying votes. it actually makes
businesses try to hire less and hurts the poor. there
is more, but, you get the gist. if you get the house
and not the senate, the two chambers will gridlock
each other. if you get both, you'll find there will be
more filibusters. over some of these things and more
vetos by the president.

and charles rangle is ready to use his committee cheer
to continuely investigate the past 6 years to attemp
an impeachment. of course i think he is going to hurt
thedemocrats more than the GOP if he does that, but, i
do not know that he thinks that.

i think the country will survive. we always do. and
maybe you'll be right and there will not be much
difference. i am not a fortune teller, i can cetainly
be wrong. it does look like we'll get a chance to see.
the election is only a month away. and the polls do
not appear to be changing much.
