There are people who will swear by Baclofen or Zanaflex.  I'm not one  of
them.  Both of those made me too sleepy to do my work or be alert as I'm  taking
public transportation every day with my daughters.  That is too much  of a
safety hazard for me to consider taking again.  Those who are in  wheelchairs who
have company assisting them can be more apt to use these  medications.
There are now Botox injections.  I'm not one for  this either.  It's just my
preference.  I've lived with pain to some  extent for all my life.  I take the
usual OTC meds when needed and that's  it.

The question of the effects of aging has been brought up so many times,
please look in the archives for the answers you seek.
