Judi,
There are several resources available to you, one of which is student loans.
Low rate and you can use the extra for living expenses, also, check out
United Cerebral Palsy, Government, Voc rehab, local service agencies (Elks,
Shriner's, etc), etc.  Also, do internet search on Google for disability +
scholarship.  Also, check out places like EASI, TASH, RESNA, who often have
scholarships listed.  Also, what is your son interested in?  That is also
something to look for scholarships for.
Talk with the schools financial aid counselor's and they may help you also.

Hello,
I am writing for my son, Dana, (as well as for ourselves, his parents....who
pay the bills!!), in regards to scholarships and grants.

Dana, if you recall from my posts in the past, is 19 with quad. cp and
bilateral hearing loss.  He has amazed all of us with his determination, and
hired assistants and moved into the dorm at the local university.  He has
advocated for himself through all of last year and into this year, and is
really feeling independent, though he is totally dependent on others for his
care and safety.

He came home from the dorm the other day and we scanned the web looking for
info on scholarships and grants for people with disabilities going to
college.  We found just a few, geared towards the college he goes to.  Some
that we otherwise found are for 'children of....." some group or company,
and
there are a lot for people from Canada.

If any of you can recommend websites or names of grants, etc, that are
geared
towards individuals with physical disabilities, would you be so kind as to
let us know what they are?

I just paid one quarter's tuition and room and board....and we are more than
$3000 poorer!

Yikes!
