Get yourself a COMPETANT  technician who will  REGULATE THE AIR PRESSURE
PROPERLY

 and prepare your young one how to "pop" ear drum pressure

Usually chewing gum etc is easiest

We put Case through a lot of painful acupuncture when he was little and I feel
guilty about that now. At least this does not  hurt.
