Yeah, the Palm Sunday tornadoes were pretty nasty and most came through at
night.  This was pre-siren days, so the combination of night and no audible
alert meant that there was NO warning.  Scary stuff for a little kid of
eight!

This years hurricane season seems pretty light so far.  Keep your fingers
crossed.

We get tornadoes down here two but, they are quickies.  I've lived in Ohio
and have seen quite a few twisters (none on the ground though)  The town I
grew up in had a big one come down the main drag on a Palm Sunday in 66.  I
wasn't around but, my dad says that one guy woke up in the road on a
mattress.
