oh, we r going to discuss it. i agree with the libertarians on this one.
the feds should legalize drugs, quite spending a fortune on "the war on
drugs" use part of that money on treatment. this is one of the things the
government uses as a gise to take away our freedoms. get the 17000 % profit
out of it if its legal. the crime rate goes down if the huge profit is out
of it. seems right to this logical conservative. i do not advocate using it,
but just like prohibition, this is not working.

Don't think so. With the volunteer Army, and all, I think drug use in
the
military has gone through the floor. Never was much of a problem in the
USMC, stateside, but 'Nam was another ball o' wax. My personal
experience
with herb has not been positive. Makes me paranoid like nobody's
business.
The rib, OTOH, could have easily been a pothead if she'd allowed
herself.
We've actually discussed her using the stuff if chemo nausea and pain
become
an issue. I personally have NO problem with cannabis use for cancer or
glaucoma patients. I think criminalization of weed is a crime
in-and-of-itself--and I'm a conservative! (does it show? <g>)

The scary thing about pot is that one metabolite of cannabinol (delta-9
cannabinol) stays in the fat cells for years and years. The long-term
effects of heavy, sustained pot use are not completely known, but memory
loss is a big, known negative.

My college roommate's brother sold the stuff on campus but would give us
some
of his personal stash whenever we wanted some. It was good stuff, too.
This
was some 25 years ago when one could drive to Ft. Bragg and get nickle
and
dime bags of high-quality grass. Can't do that now, I suppose.
