Chester,

I've had a colonoscopy, and I think it's pretty common practice for the
patient to be anesthetized. When mine was done, a drug called Versed
was used. Versed is a short acting anesthetic/amnestic - a drug that
sedates you and prevents any memory of the procedure. I woke up after
it was done, and after about a half hour to be really awake and "with
it," got dressed and went home. I was kind of sleepy for a couple of
hours, but the worst part of the procedure was definitely the prep.

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
