Terry, Alan, Jade, Lori, and Tim,

I am dictating and typing this letter with voice recognition From
PowerSecretary. With Alan's generosity I and three guests were in
attendance at the Jade Foundation event featuring Lori Line and her Pop
Chamber Orchestra. The three individuals who accompanied me were Rich Moore
( an individual who received services from us. ) from St. Paul, his wife,
Melanie and Myrtle Allen ( a senior citizen ) from south St. Paul, we all
really really enjoyed the performance.

While we were sitting in our seats I had the pleasure of sitting with Emily
who was from Wisconsin. Before I continue I have a little confession to
make, when we received the phone call asking, how many tickets would our
organization be needing? I and my staff became very excited, however I must
admit as the day came upon us I was a little nervous because I have never
attended a piano concert and didn't know what to expect. ( I was wondering
if I would enjoy it. )

After arriving ten minutes before showtime, finding my guests, greeting
friends and associates upon my entrance into the building, and exchanging
our tickets for accessible seating. Then arriving in our section just in
time for the program to begin. Lori began playing her first song about 8:15
or so, before she was finished with her first tune, she had change my mind
about piano music forever and I knew then I was really going to enjoy this
magical evening.

During intermission I said hello to the governor and he graciously replied
hello. On my way back from the restroom I met a young Special Olympics
athlete Charlie was his name and track was his game. Charlie is from IGH,
after speaking to his parents ( they are Special Olympics coaches ) and
learning that Charlie receives services from Courage Center. I explained I
had received my first power chair from Courage Center nearly twenty-two
years ago, three cheers for Courage Center and their programs. ( Charlie
and his family tickets were donated by Courage Center ) Learning that
Charlie had a track meet early the next morning I left wishing him well and
encouraging him to do his very best - win win or just do the best he can.

After intermission and arriving back in our seats I along with my guests
were really enjoining the concert and were wishing it could have been a
little longer performance.
( see Lori, you really open my ears and made me appreciate piano music -
thank you )
As I continued to listen I really enjoyed the story of how one of your
piano pieces received its name, which was Jackson Girl. Great story!! We at
Paulsen and Company, especially myself along with my guests wish you an
yours the very best success for many years to come.

We would like to thank Terry, Alan, Jade, Lori, and Tim for sharing with us
this very special evening benefiting the Jade foundation and mission.

Sincerely,

Darrell Paulsen, Disabilities Advocate since '94
