Hi Kendall,

I thought we were speaking of small animals - Ambers' dog is a whopping seven pounds and the cats are about the same if not less. I got small animals so Amber could handle them easily.

Trisha,

I don't like to encourage Carhartt to jump too much as he's a 75 pound
Lab/Chow cross. Jumping is also discouraged because he could easily knock
Janet over if he jumped up on her, or too close to her. When we got him, we
made sure he didn't jump too much , didn't lick, and didn't bark.

He can already jump our 4 foot fence, and I have to catch him. Generally
not a problem, as he comes when he's called, but he also sheds _a lot_, and
so having him on the furniture is heavily discouraged. Luckily, I don't
have to bend to put on his leash as his head is at about my lap height.

Kendall

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.

-George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
