You're very close!  The kosher markings vary widely depending on who
certified them.  Each group of rabbis has their own marking.  There's an
o in a circle, k in a circle, k in a triangle, k in the shape of Texas,
and many more.  Pareve only means that the food is neither meat nor
dairy.  This helps people to make sure that they aren't violating the
laws of kashrut (kosherness) by mixing the two groups.
