I've looked all over the city for zip up or Velcro boots. Those are only
made for women. At least in the Cleveland area. There's snow here and I need
lace up boots. Those boots with the speed laces, metal folds that hold the lace
without going through a hole doesn't work with one hand lacing. It rips out
either the speed laces or the shoelace itself.

When a child goes through preschool and kindergarten, they are checked on
being able to tie shoes. If there is a disabled child in the school then special
education parameters apply. Susan is capable of using both hands, so why
shouldn't she learn both ways to tie her shoes?
