Looking back on this thread I'm having a little difficulty in
locating the male feathers not in A1 preened condition. The first
male to contribute was Ken who gave an interesting (and
heartfelt) account of his own child rearing experience. When
Trisha posted:-

Kyle stated:-

still pristine flight accoutrements in my opinion!! But in
Trisha's opinion:-

I'm afraid I must have missed something because I could find no
guys "jumping on this as insult".

What can be seen is the stereo-typical assumption that "most"
men are not interested/involved in the day to day issues of child
rearing, and the gentle reminders from two posters that this may
not necessarily be true (as so many stereo-types aren't).

It might be thought that propagation of this stereo-type could be
seen as "male bashing", despite assertions that it is not meant
to be.

Cheers (just my two pennorth)
