the average salary at wal-mart is just a bit over 10
an hour. as is casiers at publix. i do not know the
averages in many places. i know many union contracts
are worder with a clause of "not less than x number of
times the minimun wage" so it would help lots of
people, but, in honesty many at the bottom would lose
their jobs in order to pay the ones to stay. it would
in the long run cause some inflation. however it might
be better to pay the higher wages and not have higher
taxes as a trade off to hold inflation down. not raise
interest rates as they always try to do. like i said,
i'd not cry big tears if the minimum was raised.
