Hi Mariana,

Interesting poem. I wrote the one Friday night. I guess I can
share. Not that I am much for writing or poetry.

Broken Soul

I own a broken soul
Right in the middle there is a hole
Ringed with too many wordless fears
Stained by countless tears

I seek answer in too many faces
Look for solace in endless places
Surely someone will come along who cares
To stop and fix the holes and tears

Hold me when I cry
Ask me why I sigh
But they don’t
Or they won’t

Sometimes what I don’t see
Is they are so much like me
Running about here and there
To fix their own tear

Sometimes lost in a morass of sorrow
I dream about a bright tomorrow
Wishing for a loving match
The one who holds the iron on patch
