I was unaware of Peter Singer until reading this group's recent postings.  Today
I happened to catch Bob Abernethy interview Singer on the PBS program, Religion &
Ethics. I was shocked!   Singer advocated killing disabled infants.  In the same
interview he opposed killing animals for food on moral grounds.  You can find the
interview at pbs.org and search for Peter Singer.
