Almost anything, from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, to premature birth, to the
things in the subject line can cause C.P.  C.P. is nothing less than the
deprivation of oxygen to the brain before, during, or after birth.  It
cam be caused by physical trauma, as well.  One person I know had C.P.
due to the umbilical cord wrapping around his neck and choking him/her
at birth.  Like Trisha said, it's the "luck of the draw," and it's only
when one sees disabilities as a social issue, not as a medical one, that
one is able to say the problem is not me. but how society treats me...
