Dear Jocelyn,

No I have never had phenol injections, and would only consider them with a
very experienced anaesthesiologist/physiatrist.They destroy nerves
permenantly, and can be disasterous if one does them wrong. . I would do
trigger point/Botox or Botox Type B  (Myobloc), before Phenol. If you are
thinking about it, make sure the doctor knows what they are doing. Many
physicians who used to do phenol have switched to Botox-- easier on the
patient/less risks. If I did phenol I would want to have exhausted all other
options. Hope this helps.
