I wonder if Obama's pandering to those who say our focus should be
going after bin Laden.  If that's what he's doing, I don't really
think it'll work because I think Al Qaeda has become like a hydra, in
that if it's "head" (Osama) is eliminated, at least two will grow back
in it's place.  I also just realized, through a Freudian slip typo,
that Obama and Osama only differ by one letter.  Wonder if Obama is
trying to distance himself from that by doing this.

At this point, I don't think it's possible to get out of Iraq quickly;
Bush has even acknowledged that by likening it to South Korea, and
saying Iraq's not his VietNam.  Problem with that analogy is that we
still have a large troop presence in South Korea, and it's been 55
years since that conflict "ended."  and therre we have a "traditional"
adversary, not a guerilla force.
