It's a good general anti-spasticity drug.  It's used for people with MS,
CP, spinal cord injuries, stroke and other neurological disabilities that
cause spasticity.  It's been around since at least 1983.  A friend was in a
car accident in 1983, and baclofen (lioresal) was the first drug that he
got for his spasms.  It was fairly new then, because it hadn't become
available as a generic.
