Greetings All,

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.

I have been busy learning the new job.

Last week Tuesday - Amber's ASL class went to Galludet University. The campus was beautiful and the guide was very nice. I learned lots of interesting facts - its the only deaf University in the world. And that the deaf are insulted by being called hearing impaired becasue it makes them sound disabled - and they are just like us - except they don't hear. Amber was insulted - and frankly so was I - they are acting like being disabled is a disgrace or something. I must tell you I e-mailed the university about that. I think the hurt the disabled community when they shun the word like that.
