Press Release

For Immediate Release.

09/24/2003 3:33 PM

Croswell, MI, Paul Cannaday is running for President of United States of
America in 2004. He is running as a write-in candidate. Paul Cannaday is
running as one with the National Disability Party (NDP). As most parties
will have a convention in 2004 to pick the party's candidate, so will NDP.
Neither NDP nor Paul Cannaday's names will be on any ballots. You must
write-in Paul Cannaday's name on the ballot.

Paul Cannaday will not announce his running mate until after the NDP
convention in 2004.

For over 200 years the United States of America has been a Representative
Democracy. For over 200 years people with disabilities have not been
represented in any federal, state or local government. With being the
largest minority, with over 100 million people with disabilities in the US,
it is surprising that disability issues have never mention in any political
campaign. The major two parties join the disability community and elderly
population. Since some elderly people are also people with disabilities.
Democrats and Republicans assume that these two communities are one in the
same. During the 2000 elections, Paul Cannaday begged and pleaded the
Democrats and Republicans to separate these two communities. The Democrats
give people with disabilities' community a disability caucus and both
parties gave us a disability spokesperson, but in policies, ad campaigns,
and covering the issues. Both the Democrats and Republicans combined our
two communities.

Paul Cannaday said enough is enough. People with disabilities will not be
ignored. The disabilities community has had issues for over 50 years that
have not been addressed.

Paul Cannaday has many disabilities and has been a disability advocate for
over 20 years. He has watch the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) been
destroyed by US Supreme Court, with little political opposition.

· 100's of congress people sign on to HR2020 or MICASSA. But this
bill is no closer to be passed then when it was first introduced.

· According to TIME magazine, 35,000 people with disabilities die
annually in nursing homes do to unnatural causes do to the nursing homes'
neglect and abuse. Is anyone taking responsibility for these deaths? No
since it is still occurring.

· The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) be signed into law. Before
the ADA was signed into law, the person with disabilities' employment rate
was 61% unemployed. The rate now is 80% unemployed.

· About every night a person, usually a child, begging for money on
the local television news station for a life threatening condition and
health insurance will not cover this condition.

· People with disabilities who are forced to pay for their medication
in Canada or not eat that month.

· Parents of children with disabilities worried about their children
lives after they have passed on.

· Disability charities make money off of people with disability
community and not give anything back.

· Disability oppression has existed since the birth of this nation.
Physicalism (prejudice against people with disabilities) is in abundance in
this exalted country. At the present time physicalism is the norm not the
exception. Thus far people do not sense that they not are physicalists. If
you have ever utilized the expression, "At least I have my health." You are
a good contender to be physicalists. I am a fraction of the 100 million
Americans, who bears the mark of disabled. I am proud of this mark.

· People with disabilities are not defected, broken, evil, a partial
of a whole human being, nor are we throw away people. We are just people.
We have the same needs, dreams and rights as non-disabled people. If you
denied us a need do we not die? If you do not educate us are we not
employable? If you denied us a job do are we not a burden? If you do give
us health care do we not get ill? If you are prejudice against us do we not
try to educate you? If you pity us do we want it to stop? If you try to
lock us away do we not want out? If you try to kill us do we want to live?
Your pledge of encouragement of altering the manner the nation considers the
plight of the disability community, during your 2000 campaign, has been not
kept.

· The drafter's of US Declaration of Independence comprehended the
predicament of people with disabilities. When Thomas Jefferson wrote, "That
all men are created equal," he showed the world an image of a prefect
occurrence of humanity.

· The disability experience is Dr. Martin Luther King's nightmare.
King's dream of equality among all individuals has misplaced one fraction.
Disabilities necessitate a colossal manifest.

· People with disabilities are bound jointly with prejudice; The US
must liberate itself of this epidemic. To aid in this difficulty the US
must adopt a US Department of Disability, indistinguishable to one to the
kingdom down under. This would concentrate disability concerns. So we do
not have to proceed from department to department.

· Research in Disability treatment and therapy should be designated
as, "Research". Research Scientist must have time restrictions. Research
Scientists do not experience any incentive to discover any disability cures
or vaccinations if riches are thrown at them.

· Animals gain self-sufficiency for selected people with
disabilities. These animals must be certified by the federal government to
travel into the community. Added to this complement, the trainers of these
animals must be certified by the federal government. The Government should
notify the public that these animals that are certified can be in the public
by regulation.

· Public education is bound by 504 to give all children with
disabilities a free and accessible education. It is wrong to separate
children with disabilities and nondisable children. If you separate
children with disabilities from nondisable children in school, once these
two groups leave schools the seed of prejudice is planted.

· People with disabilities mandate free health coverage. HMO's are
producing deaths. HMO's do not perform. HMO's fatality would be an
advantage. Medicine and therapy must be free to people with disabilities.
Our lives depend on it.

· On September 11, the year of our lord 2001, the city of York was
assaulted by terrorists. Sir, if you were a person with a disabilities in
those towers, you would be a danger to yourself and others to escape from
those towers. More beings would have been saved if these towers would be if
there was, walk downs. These walk down must be on the outside of the tower.
And these walk downs must be ramped. If two or more towers are closed the
walk downs could be connected.

·        The US public miscalculates the power of people with disabilities;
we are a strong and intelligent political, economic, and ethical force.
With one fifth of the US populace having and five people makes up a normal
sized family. This translate to every family has as a minimum one person
with a disability.
