Social Darwinism.  Only the strongest survive (look they've been able to
twist a pretty interesting idea and pervert it), others are considered a
weak link in society.  Early part of the century that meant the lower
classes, immigrants, anyone outside of the norm.

Not my opinions....

To me works against the whole love, charity and stuff doesn't it.
