Subject: Need fundrasing help!

I haven't been part of this list for very long so, just in case you missed
my
intro... My name is Christina (CJ) I am 22 years old and have Spastic
Diaplegia Cerebral Palsy among other things.

I will be looking into going away to college soon and as a result will be
learning how to drive. I'm trying to purchase a fully accesible Toyota
Sienna van
through IMS. I need the hand controls and electric doors and ramps and such.
I'm sure you're all well aware how expensive these vans are.

I own a house that I share with my mother and depend on my Social security
as
my sole income source. We are on a very fixed income, but without this
accessible van I will not be able to independently go to California for
college. I
have looked into every goverment program and local funding source I can
find.
The only thing I have found that would remotely help is 1 or 2 programs that
will do some adaptions once I have the new van. Even then they won't cover
all
the adaptions.

Does anyone out there have any fund rasing sources or ideas? I'm getting
desperate as this will greatly impact my independence. Also if you know of
anything that would help me get a new oof for the house we got hit by a
tornado a few
weeks ago and the roof is shot!!

Thanks in advance!
CHRISTINA JO
