Hi Mari and Magic,

  Woof to you two! Thanks for the birthday happys. I hope Mommy makes a
cake for us today. I say "us" cause I share everyone's birthday around
here. It's a terrier thing, ya know. Hey, I got a fantastic haircut
yesterday while we were in the city. Mommy and her friend, who calls me
rat boy, went to a new place to eat. They didn't bring me a doggie bag
which was most annoying. Not even a fry! But she did get me a prezzie -
a new toy. It's a ball with knobby things than smell like bacon. It's
supposed to clean my toofies. I lubs it!

  Gotsta go sit on my cat now. He's really dirty and needs a wash.
