there is absolutely no excuse for treating a woman badly. If he thinks she
is an unfit mother, I think that by him treating her badly, he is an unfit
husband and father. Be sure to document any physical evidence of beatings,
etc. even if the guy will not go to marriage counseling, encourage your
friend to get counseling. Get her some info on local battered women's
shelters, just in case. She might be afraid to look for it, or even afraid
to admit there is a problem. marrying because of premarital sex /
premarital pregnancy is the worst excuse for marriage. If you suspect this
man has a violent past, perhaps you could hire a PI to find out more about
him.

There are many resources for able bodied marriages, you can look on
Amazon.com for ideas for books. Contact Easter seals, sometimes they have
support groups for married folks with disabilities. also look for books
that help women have better self esteem.
