Sarah...the world as a CP parent is a lofe long one...as the child grows things they can and ca't do may take longer or change.

I have a 14 year old with CP.  Some stuff they said she would not do she can and others she still can't...every child is different.
I think that is what makes it a veary hard thing to deal with as a parent...the never knowing...all one can do is take it one day at a
time and see what happens.  BUT NEVER stop working with your child...YOU do lots of therphy at home...do crafts, color, use the skills
for fun...therphy 1-2 times a week is not enough....you must do it at home to get the most from your child. For us I think we may still
see a few changes but between the ages of 8-12 is when we saw the most changes...
