We have an Earthquake Research Center at the U of Memphis. They record many
mini-quakes yearly. New Madrid is about 100 miles up river. If another one
hits, Memphis is toast. We are surrounded by water and bridges. There would
be no way in or out. Reelfoot is also known as a nesting place for the Bald
Eagle. No, we have never been to Reelfoot.
