Well, Bristol IS pregnant, but baby Trig is Sarah's son.  Sad to see this young girl thrust into the spotlight this way, but it is what it is.  I hope for her that her pregnancy is safe and a healthy baby is born.  I can't imagine her embarrasment that this is splashed across the headlines, but newshounds are just that...hounds.
 
The same sort of insanity was directed at Obama because his middle name is Hussien (ergo, he must be sympathetic to terrorists, right?).  I would hope most of us would not stoop to such silliness and pettiness, but succh is the Human Condition.
 
Well, I'm leaving for the National Guard Armory in a couple hours.  With Hanna on the near horizon, I'm not sure where I'm headed.  With any luck, I'll be able to do my job from Ohio preparing others to head south.  I just found out I'll have a mobile internet connection, so maybe I can stay in the C-PALSY loop and not have to come back to a gazillion unread messages.
 
Beth, Kat and the rest of you guys that live on the eastern seaboard--stay safe and keep your eyes on the skies.  I can't stress enough how much you all need to stock up on staples and (ESPECIALLY) potable water.  Good luck to you all and remember that the same sun rises and sets on us all, regardless of political bent.  If you're so inclined, please accept my offer to pray for you all during these tough times--politically, meteorologically, amd otherwise.  You guys have become a second family over the last eleven (yes, it's been that long for me) years.
 
Laura is headed to Israel for a long-planned trip in a couple of weeks.  I may not get back before she leaves.  I'll be looking forward to your emails to keep me in good cheer while she's away as she's not taking her laptop to send emails.

20) She had prenatal tests that showed her baby was going to be a Downy and there was no thought of terminating the pregnancy.  A child is a gift, no matter the wrapping paper.  (BTW, I've seen some leftist blogs that maintain the baby is actually her daughter's.  Can people actually stoop that low?  Good Lord, the woman is 44!!! The chances of a 44 year-old woman having a child with Down's Syndrome are exponentially higher than that of a 17 year-old.  Trashing a female politician's character is one thing, bringing her kids into the mix is unconscionable.
