My friend worked in the field since I can remember. He use to help me at
camp over 10 years ago. I'm 26. I stopped going to summer camp after my
freshman year in high school. I think before that even. Anyway, my friend
use to work in a home and you wouldn't believe what kind of horror stories
that he have told me. The owner of the house basically get un train people
off the streets and there is where the abuse is happening. The owner of
the house that he worked at had no idea what was going on. My friend
needed to press charges on another worker because the guy hit a 7 year old kid.

So many of us want to look the other way and not confront the
problem. Many case goes unclaimed. This woman in the article has no way
to ask for help. I'm sure people around her hide the secret. We need to
speak out for the people that can't speak for themselves. Don't think that
it is not your problem because you are not affected directly. That is a
bunch of crap. You might be a parent, relative, friend, or even disable,
to a disable person. It has become your responsibility to speak out.

I'm sure that her father had an idea on what was going on, but maybe he
didn't wanted to admit it. This blows my mind away.
