Well I'll be a Dutch Uncle!! I've just done a little research and discovered
its primarily an item of girls underwear - I knew it was a hand me down from
my sister.

To me it was just a thick vest, very fleecy on the inside.

I don't think I'll mention the navy blue knickers now!!
