yep i'm oakland, 5 miles from the place where independent living all began in
1972.

oakland is not that great about curbcuts, but ttthey did repair the one i
asked them to.  need to get on them again since my new neighborhood needs a
atop sign and more curb ramps.  i think i'll write to jerry brown as he's the
mayor now, and see if i can't get some kind of energy behind the requests.
i didn't vote for him, i think he's nuts at times. but ,...
