Hi Mary Katherine,

I also live and work in DC. I would highly recommend the doctors and
therapists at the National Rehabilitation Hospital
(http://www.nrhrehab.org/). They also have a separate CP clinic there
that is excellent
(http://www.nrhhealthtown.com/healthtown/nrhrehab/Service.aspx?ServiceID=113).
I've also been to specialists at Johns Hopkins (in Baltimore) that
are very good. Both NRH and Johns Hopkins are very well-regarded
facilities with a lot of resources, so you can't go too far wrong.
Good luck!

~Joy~
