Segways are pretty dangerous and we've banned them in Oakland as the people
who put forth in Sacramento classified them as sidewalk only vehicles, and that
is what makes them dangerous, as they are virtually silent so a blind person
with a cane and a spastic in a chair, or a child suddenly veers out into the
pathway of the segway or an elderly person, suddenly stop and you have a
segway going 20 mph, and you have a crash! In my opinion they belong in the street
like a bike.
