Who knows, maybe she's always had a "victim" mentality and used it to set up A&F because it worked for her in the past. Maybe she was using A&F as a foil to make a "statement" about disability discrimination. This idea certainly wouldn't be lost on a law student.

It reminds me of the soldier who enlisted post-March 2003 and then refused to deploy on the grounds that our invasion of Iraq was "illegal".

FWIW, I live pretty close to A&F's "home campus" in New Albany, Ohio. This isn't their first brush with discrimination suits. A couple have made the local news, so the company has actually swung, at least publicly, toward inclusion. Disabled or not, though, you better be pretty darned attractive to be "out front" in their flagship store. I don't think appearing anorexic hurts, either. That's my observation, at least.

OK obviously my memory's going because I thought she hadn't finished
the work for her degree yet? Else why would she be working in a shop?
(I admit that I was assuming she was saving up $ or rather pounds
sterling for tuition or books as that would be the most logical reason
for working a low-paying job).

So I think I see now - you are saying she deliberately set herself up
so she could get the case into court and use the publicity or get
money? If so, it kind of backfired, wouldn't you say? What are the
disability rights people saying in the UK?
