Hi Nancy,

I'm 16 with CP. I'm not as severe as your daughter's case is (I use a
wheelchair, but the CP only affects my legs), but... I use a depilatory to
remove hair instead of a razor. It's much safer with my involuntary
movements. I can do it myself, and Ashley probably could do it easier than
using a razor. For Breanne, a depilatory might be better because she won't
have people coming at her with sharp objects, and it can be taken care of in
the same time as a shower, making it much less obtrusive. Just smooth on
like moisturizer, sit for a few minutes, then wash it off during the regular
shower. If you have any questions, just ask. And if your girls want to
talk to another "teenager" with CP as they get older, just give me a holler.
I would have loved to know another young person with CP when I was their
age. Good luck!

~Joy~
