Got this one too, and thought there might be people on the list

Mouse Tip!

This is OLD news, but some of us (Ok, ME!), need the reminder.

Giving your mouse, or for those of us with a hand problem, our
trackballs, a
good cleaning can be a religiuos experience. However, my old trackball
was
getting worse and worse. I was cleaning the darn thing every 48 hours.
Finally, it just stopped. So I was forced to go buy a new one.

WOW!!! With a fresh new trackball I am speeding around the desktop! We
get
so used to our old tools, we just forget the diffence one is that works
WELL.

Better yet, trackballs are now dirt cheap. I put up some links and
pictures
of how I use mine at
http://www.aboutonehandtyping.com/mice.html

Lap-Tops and One Handed Typists! HELP

That nice small keyboard on most laptops would be great for the one
handed
user ... EXCEPT you cannot separate the keyboard from the screen to
outset it
to one side. This is a MUST for the one handed typist.

If you know of anyone that is going to be producing a laptop that will
separate from the keyboard, please let me know!

I found a few more products of interest to one handers.
I made a list with photo links to Amazon at:

LET ME KNOW WHAT PRODUCTS YOU FIND, SO I CAN ADD THEM!

When You Do NOT Have A Less Able Hand: Stickey Keys

Sticky keys is free in the Mac and PC operating systems. They are called

sticky because once you press them they stay stuck for the next key
during
times when you must press two or three keys simultaneously... For
example,
when you need to use the control key and the letter S at the same time
to
save a document. With Sticky Keys you would press the control key,
release
it, then press the S key for the same result. Often used might be shift,

ctrl, & alt, a two handed person can use both hands to do that, Sticky
Keys
grabs each one and allows it to be turned on and "stuck" on while you
type
another key. Sticky Keys allows you to do the symbols and the upper
punctuation without having to use two hands.

Below are directions on how to open Sticky Keys in a PC and the Mac, but

always check the HELP in your operating system to see how they have
changed
the way you active it tomorrow. They like to do that to us <g>.

*** Sticky keys on the MAC

Sticky Key is part of Easy Access, on the Mac.
Turn on StickyKeys by pressing the Shift key five times. (You can also
use
the Easy Access Control Panel to turn StickyKeys On and Off). You'll
notice a
sound effect and a small icon of an empty bucket appearing in the upper
right
hand corner of the menu bar, indicating StickyKeys is active.

Type a capital letter using StickyKeys by taking one finger and pressing
the
Shift key once. Look at the StickyKeys icon again and you'll see that
there
is now an arrow pointing into the bucket. This indicates the Shift key
you
just pressed has been "locked" into memory. The next letter you press
will be
capitalized.

You can also use StickyKeys for sequences that require more than two
modifier
keys to be held down simultaneously (for example, Command-Shift-1 to
eject a
floppy disk).
Turn StickyKeys off by pressing the Shift key (again) five times (or go
to
the Easy Access control panel).

*** Sticky Keys on the PC

To turn on StickyKeys on the PC.
Open Accessibility Options in Control Panel.
On the Keyboard tab, under StickyKeys, select the Use StickyKeys check
box.
To open Accessibility Options, click Start, point to Settings, click
Control
Panel, and then double-click Accessibility Options.
To change settings for StickyKeys, on the Keyboard tab, under
StickyKeys,
click Settings.
