    Molly Ivins in her book on George W. has another take on that. Ivins
discusses at length the manner in which Gore and Bush and other sons of big
politicos dodged
Viet Nam. (I know, Gore went to Viet Nam, but that is another story).
Anyway,
she mentions Project 100,000 where 100,000 Black males were "helped" out of
poverty by joining the service. Unfortinately, many of these men went to
Viet
Nam and were combat casualties.
