At lunch today, I ran into a gentleman from Tasmania (UW is having an
international students/service providers event), and asked him about the
ruling. While he hadn't heard about the specific case (probably
traveling when it was published) he said there is plenty of precedent in
Australian law for this type of decision.

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.
