This is not "un-serious" Joy.  I noticed that other people have suggested
that more appropriate meds might be the answer.  I'd like to add my voice to
theirs.  I'm a chronic pain patient with a lot of peripheral nerve damage,
and I have been greatly helped by pain medication.

I shouldn't be giving advice.  You and your doctor have to talk about these
kinds of things.  I just know that pain robs you of your joy, and I'm sorry.
