YIPEEE!!! Finally, after all these years, I know I'm not going bonkers
and it isn't just me that it happens to.  I was always told that I was
just `nervy'.  I have trouble hearing people if I'm not wearing my
glasses, or if there are a lot of people around - even if it isn't
that noisy, or if it is dark.  I have had many conversations with
people over the years where I haven't heard most of what they have
said.  I've developed a talent for lip reading, thank goodness.
