lemay was george wallace's vp canidate.
you know i can't remember who beat goldwater, but, i
don't think humphey was the man as humphey was never
president. who ever ran against goldwater won big. i
just said that goldwater thing  in jest. i was a
middleschooler.
  the point is that the terms are just as you said
liberal, moderate, conservative. anything else added
on is usually done to be a negative wheather right or
left.
