  most people you know do not live in china or india.
the demand for oil is a worldwide thing. u.s.
production is just a very minor part of it, but, if we
could increase it would help.
   china has went from not being on the chart a few
years ago to number 2 in oil use in the world, india
is increasing its demand drastically too. the 75
dollar pricetag for a barrel is determined by global
demand. 

   as of last week the cost of oil for 1 gallon of gas
was 1.70. big oils profit was .08 per gallon, the
gross profit for the service stations was .14 tax was
about .50 the rest was refinning and transportation.
we are also shifting to summertime forulas for
environmental reasons which is more expensive than the
wintertime forulas. now all of this is averages for
the 50 states. it will varry a little from state to
state especially becouse each state and some cities
have their own tax rates.
