The flip side to this...

In Columbus, Ohio, a drunk driver was recently charged with manslaughter
after he collided with a pregnant woman and the fetus died.  Go figure.

I heard a story the other day that applies here..A friend's ex wife is
pregnant & is an alcoholic.She got drunk on Thanksgiving.He & his kids were
told that the police & Child Protective Services couldn't do anything to her
because until the baby is born it's not considered a child....
