Booze and ludes. Great combination -- not. Bobby, I am surprised that I am
still alive after some of the adventures of my earlier years. I am truly
surprised.

Your comment reminded me of a marathon concert at RFK stadium about twenty
years ago. We (me and my friends) were sitting on the field with about a
gazillion other people. I don't even remember the music groups that were
there. I do remember that there was a guy walking around the field shouting
"LUDES! LUDES FOR SALE!" right in front of God and everyone. Too many
people in one place for cops to do anything. The stadium was packed,
including the people on the field. There would have been a riot if the
police had tried to do anything, I am certain.

We (teenage friends) also used to go the Washington Monument for July 4th.
Everyone was passing joints, pipes -- whatever -- around to each other. This
was all happening right in front of the cops. Good old DC police. There
were just so many people gathered together that the cops really couldn't have
done much (except to relax and enjoy the contact high).

I can't believe I enjoyed those days. I hate being around too many people
now. For some reason I don't even like to be physically close to people
anymore, unless they are friends. It's creepy or something -- I feel trapped
when they get too close. That's a whole other topic, I suppose. I've been
to a lot of concerts in the past, but even to think of being at that one
concert, jammed next to all those people, gives me the creeps.

What were we talking about -- booze? Man, can I digress or what?
