Up in Oxford Ohio where my two kids live, a guy set up a giant town-wide
list for all the school children, in order to get a Ph.D. out of the
results. It was beautiful. Everyone six grade and up (and younger upon
request) got a free acount. I would go to the public library at any hour,
there would be six kids online talking to one another and the rest of the
town. Problem was the guy wired up all the kids, they were in constant
communication with one another, and after 18 months he pulled the plug. They
are still recovering, delicate adolescents all.
