It might be that "asshole" is a restricted word and is only to be used by
members of the appropriate union, or who have the appropriate license to use
magic words.  I worked for a while in the Lithography trade, we used "shit" as a
technical term and there were many specific kinds of shit and they had specific
remedies...except when some one's work was described as shit...then remedies
were not necessarily specific, but generally unpleasant.
