Heard a great quote on NPR this morning in an article about Brehaus
(spelling?) in Germany during the 1920's.  I hope I get it correct.
"Architecture is the message a society sends about itself to the future."

I don't want to loose that.  And I do not want any more glass and steel in
my
life...or concrete, fibreglass and copper arsenate...maybe if we gave me a
time weighted average it would all work out...I do have some 18th century
time
to balance off the twentieth.
